COVID-19 DELIVERY SERVICE UPDATE
Please note that all of our products are hand-made and therefore we are only able to send out a limited number of orders per day and our next-day delivery when you order before 1pm option is subject to availability. The date displayed in our options grid at check out is final.
During these particularly challenging times, our couriers are facing unprecedented demand and at times there may be a short delay in your order arriving.
We send all cookies out for next day delivery (exceptions are some addresses which may require 2 day delivery and deliveries for Monday, which will be baked the Friday before), however, at times there may be a short delay which our couriers will communicate directly to you, and as stipulated in our T&Cs, we do ask for you to allow 3-4 business days for your order to arrive.
COVID-19 CONTACT-FREE DELIVERY
Our couriers are making some changes to the way parcels are delivered to you in order to offer ‘contact-free delivery’ right to your doorstep. On arrival at the driver will knock or ring the bell and will then step away to a safe distance.
The driver will ask for your name, record ‘Accepted at Delivery Point’ into their scanner and take a photo of the premises confirming delivery. If you are unable to come to the door, a calling card will be left advising of alternative delivery options.
Free weekday delivery is automatically added at checkout when you purchase two or more of our giant cookies with delivery to the same address.
Minimum spend of ₹500 on two or more giant cookies.
Our deliveries are handled by our couriers, 6 days a week, and we dispatch orders 5 days per week from our bakery.
Before your delivery our couriers will be in touch with an estimated delivery slot.
As our cookies are freshly-baked and hand iced, there may be times when our factory becomes full for the day and we can no longer accept any orders even though it is before 1pm.
Do note that if you place an order before 1pm Monday-Thursday your order will be dispatched the same day, for delivery the next day.
Orders placed after 1pm will be sent out the next day and your delivery date will be your order date + 2 days.
At peak times when we are very busy we may need to bring the 1pm cut-off time forwards.
ONCE YOU HAVE PLACED YOUR ORDER
Once you have placed you order, you will receive an email from us tittled “Your ‘Millie’s Cookies’ order receipt”. This e:mail will confirm:
1. Your order details
2. Your order number
3. The order cost
4. The shipping method
5. The delivery date
6. Your customer details
The email will also inform you that “Your order will be delivered by our courier and that you will receive your consignment and delivery details from them in a separate email”. It will suggest downloading the free courier App to keep up to date with your delivery status and to give you wide range of delivery options over and above what you have already requested.
You will then receive a second email from our courier titled “Your Millies Cookies order is due for delivery”. In this e:mail:
1. Your delivery date will be confirmed
2. You will be informed that you will receive a 1 hour delivery time slot on the day of delivery (by email and text)
3. It will tell you that you will be able to live track your order on its way to you
4. You will be asked to ensure that someone is available to sign for your delivery at the given shipping address.
5. It will inform you that if you are likely to be out at the time of delivery you have a range of ‘in-flight’ options to choose from such as:
a. Changing your delivery date
b. Collecting from your nearest Pickup Shop
c. Asking us to deliver to your preferred neighbour
d. Arranging to have your order delivered to a safe place at your address.
CLICK & COLLECT
Click and Collect as an in-store pick up service is now available at all of our Millie’s locations.
If you choose to order using our click & collect service you will be asked to select a preferred hourly pick up slot. Our team will freshly bake and ice your cookie ready for collection at this time. You will then receive an email to confirm that your order is ready to be picked up.
